1. apendik:

macammana kita nak tau yang apendik kita dah bengkak?
biasanya simptom apendik ialah sakit perut sebelah kanan kan?
tapi kalau dah sakit tu maknanya dah kritikal..

terima kasih..

Topic Overview

What is appendicitis?

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a small, finger-shaped sac that is attached to the large intestine. Experts do not fully understand the purpose of the appendix.
Most of the time, the appendix does not cause problems. Occasionally, however, it gets blocked by bacteria and becomes swollen and infected.
If the infected appendix is not removed, the infection can cause the appendix to break open or rupture. This spreads infection into the abdominal cavity, causing peritonitis. Peritonitis is a serious problem that requires emergency care.
About 8 out of 100 people will get appendicitis. It is most common in people ages 10 to 30, although it can occur at any age.

What causes appendicitis?

It is not clear why some people get appendicitis. Sometimes the appendix becomes blocked by a piece of food, a hard stool, swollen tissue, parasites, or bacteria from another infection.

What are the symptoms of appendicitis?

The main symptom of appendicitis is belly (abdominal) pain. The pain usually begins around the belly button and then moves to the lower right quadrant of the belly. Moving, walking, or coughing increases the pain. People who have appendicitis may also have a fever, feel like they are going to throw up, or not want to eat.

How is appendicitis diagnosed?

Appendicitis is diagnosed through a medical history, physical examination, and lab tests. In a medical history, you will be asked about your symptoms. During the physical exam, a doctor may insert a gloved finger into your anus (digital rectal exam) to help identify the cause of your pain, press on your abdomen, and have you move your right leg or hip for signs of pain. Women may also have a pelvic exam.
Lab tests include a white blood cell count to look for infection and a pregnancy test in women of childbearing age.
Appendicitis can be difficult to diagnose, especially in children, pregnant women, and older adults. If a diagnosis is not clear, you may need to wait in the hospital or at home for several hours. A doctor may also do an ultrasound or a CT scan of your abdomen.

How is appendicitis treated?

The only treatment for appendicitis is surgery to remove the appendix (appendectomy). If the appendix has not ruptured, most people return to normal activities a few weeks after surgery and do not have ongoing problems.
Surgery is more complicated if the appendix has ruptured and there is infection in the abdomen. In rare cases, a ruptured appendix may lead to death.

Symptoms

The main symptom of appendicitis is belly (abdominal) pain. The pain can feel like indigestion or like you need to have a bowel movement or pass gas.
You may have appendicitis if:
You have pain in your belly. The pain begins around your belly button but is felt all over your belly.
Within several hours, the pain gets stronger and then moves below your belly button on your right side (the lower right quadrant). The pain does not go away and gets worse when you move, walk, or cough.
You have pain in the upper right quadrant.
You feel nauseous or throw up a few times. You also may not feel like eating.
You have constipation, back pain, a slight fever, or a swollen abdomen.
You feel tired and do not have a lot of energy.

You probably do not have appendicitis if your abdominal pain is a cramping pain and you also have diarrhea. However, cramping and diarrhea can occur with appendicitis, especially in children.
Some people do not have obvious symptoms. Older people, children younger than 2 years, and pregnant women may not have pain in the lower right quadrant. Other people feel pain in their side because their appendix is in a different position.
Pain in the abdomen is very common. For more information, see the topics Abdominal Pain, Age 12 and Older, and Abdominal Pain, Age 11 and Younger.

There are also many conditions with symptoms similar to appendicitis. However, because appendicitis can become serious in a short amount of time, call your doctor right away if you have any of the symptoms listed above. Treatment is much easier if the appendix has not ruptured. In most people, the appendix does not rupture until they have felt sick for at least 24 hours.

buat masa skrg takdak lagi medicinal cure utk kedua penyakit.

appendicitis basically, no one knows why some ppl got it some ppl don't. sapa yg kena buang saja, kalau takut kena pun boleh buang, scientist x boleh conclude pun apa fungsi appendix kpd manusia.

parkinson's disease is basically an aging disease. most common to men & malay kalau kat m'sia. penyakit yang berkaitan dgn deterioration of nerve system as we get older & mungkin the gene can be inherited. to know your potential, tengok tok wan2 kita whether depa terketar2 & slow in movement tak? tok wan laki saya nampak mcm ada parkinson's but yg pompuan takdak. so we may hv the potential.

there are drugs but mcm AIDS drugs, their effectiveness don't last.

apendiks!!
seriau aa dengar menda ni... dlm 8 thn lps, mase tu form 2, aku kena operate sbb apendiks. mula2 tu rasa sakit sgt perut, sakit yg amat sgt... pas tu aku muntah2, ingatkn angin... dlm sehari ke 2 hari pas tu, sakit perut tu stop... diganti dgn sakit pinggang kt belah kanan. pas tu pi la jumper doktor, trus aku masuk ICU, operate mlm tu jugak. lps operate tu sakitnyer, Tuhan je yg tau...kalau x silap 2 3 mlm x bleh tido...emosi pun jadi x betul.

pas tu kena minum air gamat, bnyk versi air ni yg aku rase, yg rase masin skit2 x busuk sgt, aku leh minum. tp ade satu versi tu, bau die cam air longkang (bukan nk menghina, nk terngkan jer) . bau pun aku dh muntah. pas tu kena makan singgang ikan haruan.

org ckp kena pantang minum ais at least 1 thn... tp aku degil teramat, dlm 3 bulan pas tu bantai mkn eskrem.
adik aku pun kena apendiks gak. x sampai sebulan pas tu minum coca cola (lg la degilnyer!!!)

heee...terpanjang la pulak...jgn marah

jgn pikir banyak, pegi trus klinik. sbb kalau apendiks senang jek doktor nk kesan, x payah x-
ray... die cume tekan2 jek kt perut. pas tu tanyer tmpt yg die tekan tu sakit ke tak.
insyaallah, bukan apendihks. sakit pinggang biase je tu. tapi... kena pi gak, apendiks ni x leh
tunggu lamer. bahaya kalau pecah kt dlm, even dh bedah, kuman die boleh merebak, dan
boleh bawak mati (sori, bukan nk takutkan). sbb dh ader dgr citer psl ni.

psl kakak tu, baik bwk jumper doktor, jgn tunggu lame2, biar doktor yg periksa.
